Dentistry and oral care for you and your family

An inlay is an alternative to the traditional filling. Inlays can also have more advanced aesthetics.

Inlays are available in:

  • Porcelain
  • Composite

Will I need anaesthetic?

If you need an inlay, you will need anaesthetic before your dentist carries out the procedure. If you are nervous about it, we will happily talk you through it to reassure you. Our dentists are specialists with nervous patients.

About a week or two after your first appointment we will need to see you for a second time to check that your new inlay is a good fit and that the shade is a the perfect match. The inlay is then fixed in place.
